The Brass Ring

The Brass Ring is UofT Engineering's award winning Brass Quintet. Traditionally (but not exclusively) comprised of engineering students, we perform a variety of Baroque and Classical arrangements as well as a repertoire of popular Christmas carols, hymns and songs. We offer a nice addition to lunches, dinner parties or any other event looking for the added touch of live music.

The group performs at various venues and events, large and small throughout the year. Our annual performances include the Skule™ Music Concert in the late fall and our own end of year concert in the spring. Past engagements include Faculty Club dinner parties, Alumni events, the UofT Remembrance Day ceremony and wedding entertainment, to name a few. We are always interested in performing at events large or small. If you are looking for live music at your event, please direct your email to the Brass Ring address on the 'Contact Us' page.

The Brass Ring competes annually at the Kiwanis Music Festival of Toronto. The group has first place standings as well as the highest rating of Gold to its credit.

If you are interested in becoming part of the quintet, please email the Brass Ring through the 'Contact Us' page and indicate your instrument. Anyone in any year of study is welcome to audition; we especially encourage incoming first year students to become involved with Skule™ Music. Auditions will be held in early September.
